To find the best artisan cocktails and get a fun take on local Amelia Island history, take an Amelia Island Tasting Tour. This tour takes you to several local downtown watering holes to meet the fun and creative people behind the bars and hear about the art and craft of mixing cocktails while finding out about each bar’s history. If you like to listen to acoustic music and enjoy a good beer selection, try the local favorite Green Turtle Tavern and get seats on the wrap-around porch. Or, visit one of Fernandina Beach’s microbreweries, First Love Brewing, offering 20 rotating taps, indoor/outdoor seating and delicious signature pizzas.

Located in a former gas station, T-Ray’s Burger Station was named one of USA Today’s 51 Best Burger Joints in the US.  They also happen to serve up a pretty delicious southern breakfast. Make your way over to T-Ray’s and order a Kitchen Sink Omelette. It’ll be just what you need to kickstart your day.

Rent a pontoon boat or a jet ski or take a Kayak Excursion. It’s all possible and customizable for you and your friends.  If you want to cast a line, check out some of the Island’s legendary fishing charters. End your trip at Captain Jack’s Smokehouse, an old-fashioned southern BBQ joint specializing in beef brisket, juicy steaks, and St. Louis ribs, plus a lot of other really good stuff like pimento cheese and pork rinds, Lexington red slaw, Charlie’s bourbon burger, and Ms. Kim’s chicken salad. Knock it all down with a glass of sweet, iced tea, a cold beer or a cocktail featuring local Marlin & Barrel spirits. Dine inside or outside overlooking the beautiful marshes of Amelia. A great ending to a great weekend with great guys.
