June 7 – National Doughnut Day:
On June 7th, join the nation in celebrating this sweet treat that never goes out of style. Yes, we’re talking doughnuts here. That round ball of deliciousness that literally no one can resist. Head over to the newest downtown addition, Vintage Donuts, and treat yourself to an old-fashioned vanilla cake doughnut where you get to pick the toppings – everything from sprinkles to Fruity Pebbles cereal. Grab a cup of coffee while you’re in there. It’s a yummy throwback in time.
June 15 – Nature Photography Day:
Amelia Island is a paradise for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts alike. On June 15th, grab your camera or smartphone and explore the island’s breathtaking natural beauty. From pristine beaches to lush maritime forests, there’s no shortage of picturesque landscapes to capture. Bike/walk the trails at Fort Clinch State Park and along Egans Creek Greenway or take a guided kayak tour along the backwaters and creeks surrounding Amelia Island. It’s a great day to celebrate mother nature!
July 12 – Simplicity Day:
In today’s fast-paced world, sometimes it’s the simple things that bring us the most joy. On July 12th, embrace the beauty of simplicity right here on Amelia Island. Take a leisurely bike ride along the scenic trails, pack a picnic and enjoy a day at one of the island’s pristine parks, or simply relax on the beach with a good book. Let go of the distractions and savor the moment – after all, that’s what Simplicity Day is all about.
July 21 – Ice Cream Day:
