Amelia Island Jazz Festival-Marcia Ball Band In Concert

Don’t miss the legendary Marcia Ball bringing her infectious Texas blues and soulful vocals to the Amelia Island Jazz Festival!
A force of nature on stage, Marcia Ball has been captivating audiences for over 50 years. Billboard hails her as “a welcome ray of sunshine…Ball is a killer pianist, a great singer and songwriter” who blends “potent blues, sweet zydeco, soulful, fast and furious Texas boogie…heartfelt, powerful and righteous.” The New York Times describes her performances as igniting “a full-scale roadhouse party” with her “two-fisted New Orleans barrelhouse piano” and “husky, knowing voice about all the trouble men and women can get into on the way to a good time.”
Born in Orange, Texas, and raised in Vinton, Louisiana, Ball’s musical roots run deep. Her Acadian heritage and lifelong immersion in Gulf Coast rhythms and blues shine through in her original songs and electrifying covers. As the 2018 Texas State Musician of the Year, she’s a beloved figure who has earned countless fans worldwide.
