If you like to soak up the great outdoors and enjoy nearly perfect weather, Amelia Island is the place to be this spring. Take a look at these unique spring activities where you can spend time outside with mother nature, food, music and even the 1980’s!
Friday, March 10 – Peter’s Point Beachfront Park (4600 Peter’s Point Rd) Travel Back in Time to the 1980’s where big hair, punk rock and the rubiks cube were all the rage. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. where there will be an 80’s Movie Costume Contest and a showing of The Goonies followed by Dirty Dancing. Either relax in your vehicle and listen through a select FM station or bring a chair/blanket and watch under the stars. Free to all with food available for purchase.

Sunday, March 26 – Sadler RanchIf you happen to be visiting our island between March and June, 2023, you can participate in a monthly dance series brought to you by Crescendo Amelia. Partnering with Sadler Ranch and Ballroom on Amelia, they will have you on your feet with a variety of music from the 1920’s – 2000’s! A variety of Ticketing options are available online including reserved tables & local business sponsorships. 4:00-6:30pm.

Saturday, April 8 – Amelia Island Museum of HistoryCelebrate Spring by visiting 8 beautiful historic homes in the Old Town Historic District of Fernandina Beach. Not to be missed, the tour includes the home used in the 1988 film “The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking” (pictured above). Advance tickets $25, $30 day of. April 14-16 – Various venues on Amelia IslandThis inaugural Songwriters Festival promises to be around for years to come so why not get in at the very beginning to say you were here when… Twelve renowned songwriters will perform over three days at various venues located in historic downtown Fernandina Beach. In addition to the free shows, there will be intimate, ticketed shows and special concerts. Tickets can be purchased here.

May 11-14 – Omni Amelia Island ResortThe 7th annual Fish to Fork event returns to our shores and folks can once again be amazed by this one-of-a-kind foodie experience. With sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and beautiful tree canopies as a backdrop, this weekend offers an unforgettable experience, including true dock-to-dish specialties in a fun, interactive atmosphere. Event guests will see chefs present their best fishing and culinary skills, ultimately tested with a live vote.

May 19-20 – Atlantic Recreation Center (2500 Atlantic Ave)This exciting 3-Day Festival celebrates the bioregion on and around Amelia Island. The festival includes numerous nature tours led by area naturalists and park rangers; nature photography workshops taught by local professionals; a nature-based/green business expo; a Kids’ Niche, with nature-based activities for children; critters from the Jacksonville Zoo; a Silent Auction; and more!
