Each February, Amelia Island becomes a literary destination when the annual Amelia Island Book Festival brings top New York Times bestelling authors to our shores. This year’s festival happens to fall on Valentine’s Day weekend so if you’re an avid reader and lover of books, this would be the perfect time to bring your sweetie to our sunny shores and and rub elbows (and books) with your favorite authors.
The mission of the Book Festival is simple. They want to “engage adults and young people in the joy of reading and writing through a series of public events featuring New York Times best-selling authors, independent publishers, awards programs and workshops.”
Friday, February 17, 2023 – The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia IslandKick off the weekend with an Authors’ Gala that includes a cocktail reception, dinner, live auction, and Scott Turow Author discussion and Q&A followed by celebrity book signing. Other featured best-selling Authors at the gala will be David Baldacci,Kate Quinn, and Jeannette Walls. What an exciting time meet these beloved authors that have enthralled us for years with their page-turning books! All proceeds benefit the Authors in School Literacy Program.
