Pedego Electric Bikes — To pedal or not to pedal? That is the question. On the south end of Amelia Island, Pedego is conveniently located just off the bike trail for a super easy “hop on” to head north or south. Recognized as a Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists, Amelia Island offers a route for every type of rider. Casual riders will love pedaling through Egan’s Creek Greenway to see nature up close and personal or riding the 7 mile Amelia Island Trail that runs from Peters Point Beachfront Park to Amelia Island State Park (and even beyond to Big Talbot Island for additional scenic mileage). The newest Amelia River to Sea Trail is centrally located and is a 3 mile ride going from Crane Island to the beach.
More advanced fat tire cyclists can enjoy the adventure of riding 6 miles of mountain bike trails through Fort Clinch State Park. For the speedy road cyclists, Amelia Island offers over 50 miles of suggested road biking routes, which includes 23 miles on dedicated bike lanes. If you want to ride with the sound of the ocean waves in the background, Amelia Island invites you to pedal along her 13 miles of coastline for a true island experience.
