October 1 -8. If you’re a fan of smooth tunes and soulful rhythms, the Amelia Island Jazz Festival will be a delightful experience. Currently in its second decade, the Jazz Fest provides a rich, diverse cultural offering to the Amelia Island area by exposing thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds to the sounds, excitement and vitality of great jazz. Held in various venues around the island, immerse yourself in the captivating melodies performed by talented musicians – Everything from a Jazz & Wine Tasting to a Dixie To Swing Jazz Brunch. October 7, Central Park from 12pm-4pm. If you’re a beer enthusiast, the Island Hop Craft Beer Fest is a must-attend event. Sample a wide range of craft beers from local and regional brewers featuring Nassau County’s own First Love Brewing, Amelia Island Brewing Company, Mocama Beer Company, Disco Witch Brewing, SJ Brewing Company, The Brew Shed, and Marlin & Barrel Distillery. October 28. Join the excitement and experience the electric island atmosphere during the annual Florida-Georgia football weekend. This highly anticipated event brings together passionate fans from both sides and is one of the iconic rivalries that make college football great. Ladies, if you need to take your team wardrobe up a notch, head into Twisted Sisters for plenty of dawg and gator gear to choose from. Can’t make it to see the game in person? Grab a seat in one of these restaurants/bars and cheer for your team there! Get into the spirit, literally, on a downtown cocktail tour (pictured above) or a twilight BYOB Amelia River Cruise.
