For this month’s Friday Foodie Feature, we’re taking you to a true seaside historic gem: Sliders Seaside Grill. Nestled right on the ocean, Sliders offers something for everyone, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some fantastic food.
History
Since its debut as a classic American roadhouse in 1945, the then Seaside Inn was originally a rest stop for weary A1A travelers that offered a meal, bed and the ocean right outside. Over the years it was rebranded as Sliders Seaside Inn in 1980, updated with a Caribbean theme in 2003, and expanded with additional space in 2011. Visitors enjoy a range of offerings, from breakfast on the upstairs porch to fun evenings with signature cocktails, playground for kids, and live music on weekends.
What’s on the Menu?
At Sliders Seaside Grill, the menu is as diverse as the ocean views. For the kids, it’s all about fun and flavor. They’ll love the crispy chicken tenders, popcorn fried shrimp, and creamy gouda mac & cheese. For the grown-ups, there’s a bounty of fresh seafood that’ll make your taste buds dance. Think shrimp & grits, crab-topped flounder, oysters on the half shell, and bangin’ shrimp tacos. If seafood isn’t your thing, don’t worry—there’s a mouthwatering beach burger, a tasty chicken “samich”, and a juicy 8oz filet mignon waiting for you.
The ever-popular Feel Good Power Bowl comes with your choice of protein over jasmine rice and a medley of fresh veggies like napa cabbage, blanched carrots, edamame, and red peppers. Topped with avocado, seaweed salad, fried wontons, and yum yum sauce, it’s a feast for both the eyes and the palate.
A Place for the Whole Family
Sliders Seaside Grill is more than just great food. It’s also a fantastic destination for families. With an outdoor Tiki Bar that features bar front swings for the adults and a fun playground for the kids, there’s something to keep everyone entertained. So, whether you’re kicking back with a refreshing cocktail or watching the little ones have a blast, you’ll find plenty to love here.
Don’t Miss Tortuga Jack’s
For a delicious oceanfront breakfast or lunch, don’t miss Tortuga Jack’s, which is conveniently located upstairs from Sliders. This spot offers authentic Baja Mexican food with stunning views of the beach. It’s the perfect place to start your day or take a break from the sun.
So next time you’re in the mood for some beachfront dining with a diverse menu that caters to all tastes, make sure Sliders Seaside Grill is at the top of your list. Bon appĂ©tit!
