In celebration of Pride month, meet Rachel Covello. Rachel is an award-winning speaker, writer, diversity consultant, and Publisher of Outcoast, an online Gay Florida Travel magazine marketing the sunshine state as an LGBTQ-inclusive destination. Rachel recently visited Amelia Island to experience the Shrimp Festival and all the other things to do here and we’re pretty sure she enjoyed her stay, but we’ll leave that determination up to you!
“If Florida is on your list of gay-friendly travel destinations, Amelia Island is ideal for immersive LGBTQ experiences without the hustle and bustle of the big city. This quaint, formerly Victorian village is an ideal destination for gay travelers who love bike rides, nature walks, an afternoon on the golf course, and other LGBTQ-centric activities.” Read the rest of Rachel’s article here to learn all about her island discoveries, then follow her on Instagram.
In addition to marketing and writing blogs about our beautiful state, she is also the publisher of Fishmonger Approved, a Florida seafood magazine highlighting “favorite fish recipes, fishing tips, food reviews and fish facts.” Speaking of which, check out her list of best Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach seafood restaurants.
Thanks for visiting our island, Rachel. We hope you come back to see us soon!
