
The sandwich, in its basic form, is described as “slices of meat, cheese, or other food placed between two slices of bread”. Yawn. In my humble opinion, sandwiches don’t get nearly enough love. Hola Cuban Café
Located in the heart of downtown, Hola Cuban Café serves up delicious Cuban classics perfect for breakfast and lunch.
- Breakfast: Croqueta Sandwich
Start your day with a hearty Croqueta Sandwich. Choose from ham, chicken, or cheese croquetas, pressed with Swiss cheese on Cuban bread for a melty, savory start to your morning. - Lunch: Classic Cuban Sandwich

T-Ray’s Burger Station
Located in a former Exxon service station, T-Rays is a local favorite serving up good home cookin’ at a great price. Known for mouthwatering burgers and comfort food, the menu is simplistic, eclectic and oh so good.

Feeling nostalgic? The Fried Bologna Sandwich is a must-try. It’s a blast from the past, perfect for those looking to rediscover an old-school favorite.

4th Street Deli
For those craving classic deli sandwiches stuffed with delicious meats and cheeses, as well as salads with a twist, 4th Street Deli is sandwich (and salad) heaven. It wasn’t voted the island’s Best Sandwich Shop & Deli for nothing.

Spice things up with the Hot Pastrami Sandwich. It’s packed with pepper jack cheese, pastrami, pepperoni, and jalapenos. - Lunch: Washington Roast Beef
Try the Washington Roast Beef for a gourmet experience. Featuring roast beef, ripe brie, and marinated mushrooms, this sandwich is served hot and bursting with flavor.

Aloha Bagel and Deli
The bagels at Aloha Bagel and Deli are so good that if you close your eyes, you’ll think you’re at your favorite NYC deli, and with their commitment to serving only the freshest, most delicious bagels, it’s no wonder they claim to be the “best little bagel shop on Amelia Island”—and I’m pretty sure they are.
- Breakfast: Nova Bagel
The Nova Bagel is a standout. A toasted bagel topped with plain cream cheese, NOVA salmon, capers, tomato, and onion makes for a perfect breakfast bite.

The Patio at 5th and Ash
Enjoy a laid-back atmosphere at The Patio at 5th & Ash with their eclectic menu of fresh and flavorful options. Dine inside or on the patio under a canopy of live oaks.
- Lunch: Grouper Sandwich
The Grouper Sandwich, available grilled or blackened, is a crowd favorite. Served with lettuce, tomato, and a spicy island slaw, it’s a must-order!

The Boat House
The Boat House is a relaxed and playful dining environment with live entertainment outside on the patio, which is exactly where you should sit. The eclectic menu with a Southern twist, makes it a great place for a lunch full of flavor.

This sandwich – with fried chicken, Dijon mustard, honey, apple slaw, and pickled onion – is a mouthwatering combination of savory and sweet.

Magnolia’s Café
From homemade biscuits and gravy to tasty afternoon sandwiches, Magnolia’s Cafe offers something for everyone with fresh ingredients, hot coffee, and perfectly chilled cold brew.

Located on S 3rd Street, Garden Street Bistro is a hidden gem worth finding. Not only do they serve breakfast and brunch all day every day, but they also have incredible pizzas, burgers, and sandwiches. Sit inside or outside in the courtyard beneath wisteria vines.

You’re going to want to try this breakfast BLT that includes bacon, lettuce, tomato, a fried egg, and lemon basil aioli on rye. - Lunch: The Portobello
For lunch, try The Portobello, featuring grilled portobello mushroom, avocado slices, sautéed spinach, and onions on rye.

Coquina
Located at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, Coquina is an open-air, oceanfront outdoor restaurant with a menu inspired by our Spanish roots. With the surf in your ears, salt on the rim of your drink, and the grilled catch of the day in a sandwich, it doesn’t get much better than this.
- Lunch: Catch-of-the-Day
Enjoy the Catch-of-the-Day sandwich with grilled fresh fish, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickled red slaw on a toasted bun.

Marche Burette
Dine a while. Shop a while. Marché Burette, located in the Shops at Omni Amelia Island Resort, is a great spot to pick up a gift and grab a tasty breakfast or lunch all while overlooking a scenic lagoon.

Start your day with this buttery, flaky croissant filled with egg, ham, and Swiss cheese. - Lunch: Shrimp Salad Sandwich
