Amelia Island is easily accessible by car via Interstate 95 (I-95). Travelers coming from the north or south can take I-95 to exit 373 onto State Road A1A and travel 15 miles crossing the Intracoastal Waterway onto Amelia Island. If you’re coming by air, at only 30 minutes from Amelia Island, Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is the closest airport and links Northeast Florida with cities across North America and around the world, including many non-stop routes from within the United States. Private, corporate and charter aircraft may use the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport located on Amelia Island.
